01 / 10 · The surface before paint

Lost-Foam Surface Texture Before Housing Painting

Treat the bare casting, paint preparation and painted finish as three acceptance stages. Relia reviews lost-foam housings with the visible zones and protected contacts marked. Agree each required condition before coating, while the surface underneath can still be inspected.

Relia reviews visible areas, protected contacts and the selected coating route with your actual housing. Samples and references define the condition accepted at each stage.

02 / 10 · Factory surface plan

A Surface Plan That Reaches the Painting Stage

Relia connects the casting surface, any machining and the agreed preparation for coating. Each stage needs a defined acceptance condition.

Bare casting

Texture, local conditions and cleanup requirements.

Prepared substrate

The surface condition required by the selected coating system.

Final finish

Specified appearance, coverage and other agreed acceptance.

Broad shallow plate with raised bosses, mounting ears and perimeter walls
Visible walls, mounting contacts and recessed regions can require different surface treatment.

03 / 10 · Drawing zones

Visible Areas and Functional Contacts

Mark the surfaces seen by the equipment user and those used for mounting, sealing or locating. Identify regions to be machined, masked or coated.

Keep a cosmetic surface requirement separate from a dimensional interface. This avoids using one appearance description for the whole component.

04 / 10 · Pattern and cast surface

Foam Texture and Cast Surface Appearance

The foam pattern and its coating belong in the process review where surface appearance matters. Agree the actual cast-surface reference for the selected material and geometry.

Pattern-related review

Identify visible zones, proposed pattern joints and relevant surface features.

Cast-surface acceptance

Use an approved reference or specified evaluation method for the delivered casting.

Use a real acceptance reference for the ordered component

Illustrations communicate geometry. Surface approval uses the agreed sample, specification and observation or measurement conditions for the actual supply.

05 / 10 · Local finishing

Local Cleanup and Defect Acceptance

Specify cleanup zones and protect thin edges, working contacts and required sections. Identify local discontinuity acceptance separately from the overall texture reference.

Agree the delivered result of each local operation. Painting should not be treated as a substitute for the required casting acceptance.

Windowed panel with raised edges, circular openings and perimeter fixing holes
Window edges and fixing regions need clear protection and cleanup boundaries.

06 / 10 · Process order

Machining Before Coating Preparation

Finish the required interfaces

Complete the agreed machining and local edge work.

Define protected zones

Mark contacts, threads and surfaces requiring masking.

Prepare for coating

Meet the selected coating system's substrate requirement.

Review any later operation that exposes metal or changes the specified final condition.

07 / 10 · Shared reference

A Reference for the Agreed Paint Preparation

State the preparation requirement and how it will be evaluated. Include the coating system, material, surface zones and relevant acceptance records.

Preparation scope

Selected cleaning or preparation operations and applicable condition.

Acceptance scope

Reference, method, coverage and any required documentation.

08 / 10 · Component references

Iron Plate and Housing Geometry References

Use the plate, curved body or housing form, then mark the actual visible areas and coating requirements on its drawing.

09 / 10 · Delivery agreement

Separate Casting and Coating Responsibilities

Casting acceptance

Agree texture, local conditions and finished geometry.

Coating acceptance

Specify preparation and the selected finish requirements.

Sample release

Approve the required evidence before production.

Relia performs agreed surface treatment in its own factory. The order defines the actual treatment and evidence for the component.
