Dimension the rotor or frame from its working datums

For a rotor project, define blade profiles, hub bore, mounting direction and operating requirements. For the elongated frame, provide end-hole positions, contact faces and adjoining references rather than assuming the same duty.

Select the metal and casting sections

State the actual aluminum, stainless or iron grade and final condition. Review investment casting, quantities, machining stock and compatible finishing against the selected component drawing.
