Give each component its own drawing

Provide the drawing revision, actual material grade and quantities for each item. For a cover, show the outline, seating dimensions, supporting frame and any locating or lifting details required by the design. Identify the assembly in which the cover will be installed and state the acceptance requirements associated with that location.

For a valve body, define the internal passages, port openings, mating faces and surfaces requiring machining. Include section views or an IGES/STEP model where the outside drawing cannot describe internal geometry.
