Define the tabbed plate through its raised edge ears, fixing holes and shaped corner regions. The yellow-green example provides visible geometry for a sheet component. Its surface color does not independently prove zinc chemistry, passivation, actual steel grade or corrosion performance for the requested installation.
Locate edge tabs from the plate datums
Provide flat and formed geometry with the actual mating-component drawing. Dimension fixing holes, tab positions, corner details and contact surfaces from installation datums. Identify inserts, fasteners or other included pieces separately rather than assuming a tabbed plate represents a complete electronics mounting assembly.
- Reference the tabbed plate and formed revision.
- Specify actual steel grade and sheet thickness.
- Dimension edge ears, holes and corner contacts.
- Select fabrication and the actual surface system.
- Agree finished-interface and environmental acceptance.
Choose the finish as part of the order
Yellow-zinc finishing is a named enquiry direction; the parameter information also offers powder coating and color choices. Define the actual compatible system, including coating requirements, masking and appearance. Do not assume both treatments are required or that a yellow-green photograph establishes the selected chemistry and process sequence.
Inspect the plate in its delivered condition
Define stamping, punching, bending or other required work for the controlled design. Mark tolerances with units and final measurement conditions at fixing contacts. Any corrosion, load, electrical or environmental requirement needs actual service conditions and applicable evidence for the specified material and surface system.
Include STEP, STP or PDF geometry, quantities and requested material or inspection records. Keep supplied hardware and any completed electronics or separately specified equipment qualification outside the plate-only scope unless expressly included.
