Define the open connector around its two upright ends and curved lower bridge. The gold-colored example has separated ends with visible holes or recesses near the connection regions. It provides a form reference for an alloy-steel outboard connector enquiry, while actual dimensions, material condition and mating hardware require a controlled specification.
Locate the upright ends and mating pins
Show the opening, bridge section and end details relative to the adjoining chain or assembly. Specify the actual pin or alternative joint arrangement, clearances and retention requirements. State which pieces are included rather than assuming that a connector photograph supplies pins or an assembled chain connection.
Select alloy steel and the forging condition
Provide the steel grade, heat-treatment requirements where applicable and the material records needed for acceptance. Review the forming route and any machining on holes or contact faces. The gold appearance does not identify a coating chemistry, metal composition or verified mechanical property.
- Identify the open outboard connector configuration.
- Specify alloy steel grade and supplied condition.
- Define end holes, pins, bridge and clearances.
- Choose machining and compatible surface treatment.
- Agree duty-related tests and inspection records.
Accept the connector for a defined installation
Provide the intended mining-chain arrangement, service conditions and any strength or fatigue requirements. Working load, breaking force and installation approval need applicable engineering and test evidence; they are not established by color, markings or a generic product name.
Include quantities, drawing revisions and the requested documentation with the enquiry. Distinguish connector-only supply from any pin kit or complete connection assembly so the quotation matches the intended acceptance scope.
