For a mining connection, a metal ring needs a defined role in the assembly. This hot-forging and CNC-machining enquiry concerns customer-specified connecting components, with the required geometry established from your drawing or sample.
Identify the connection the ring must make
Show the mating parts and the space through which the connecting ring must pass. Mark the dimensions that control engagement and clearance, and identify any joining elements that belong to the ordered component. A general mining-ring name cannot establish replacement fit without those interfaces.
Divide the forged shape from machining work
The connecting-ring scope can include forging, machining where needed and surface treatment. Define which features can remain in their forged condition and which need finished dimensions or controlled contact surfaces. Include the required ferrous grade and condition so material selection is considered with the machining and finish requirements.
- Provide the mining connecting-ring drawing and its mating-component references.
- Dimension the ring opening, engagement areas and required clearances.
- Specify the ferrous material grade and required condition for the forging.
- Identify ring surfaces that require CNC machining after forging.
- State the finish and acceptance requirements for the connection components.
Make the mining duty part of the enquiry
Working load, fatigue behaviour and wear requirements need evidence for the actual ring configuration. Describe the operating duty and identify any required qualification or test documentation before the component is selected. Forged construction and a mining application do not by themselves establish a rated lifting connection or an approved complete chain assembly.
For these custom metal connecting rings, the drawing should connect the mating geometry to the required material, finished surfaces and service acceptance. That gives the forging enquiry a defined component scope before an order is agreed.
