S2308 chain-connection enquiries combine forging, machining where required and surface treatment for customer-defined dimensions. The illustrated examples include oval and elongated link forms with joining features. Define the required link configuration, material grade and mating chain before agreeing the manufacturing scope for the mining application.
Identify the connection configuration
Provide the selected link drawing with its internal opening, joining faces and overall dimensions. Show the mating chain and identify any locking components included in the ordered assembly. The S2308 design review should address the actual connection geometry rather than assuming that different illustrated link forms are interchangeable.
Agree material and qualification requirements
State the ordered ferrous grade and any heat-treatment requirements, together with the acceptance documents needed for the intended service. Painting, powder coating and oxidation can be discussed for the selected link, with machining applied to the features defined in the proposal. Working load, fatigue performance and mining or lifting approvals require evidence for the exact configuration.
Send the S2308 drawing revision, quantity and inspection requirements with the enquiry. Confirm the supplied-component scope and the packing protection needed for the finished connection parts before order approval.
