Specify whether your project requires zinc, magnesium or aluminum alloy, and provide the grade for the selected part. These are separate material requests; the example group does not identify which alloy was used for each item.
Features to include on the drawing
- The examples include narrow components with raised mounting features, an open recessed body, a plate with several round recesses and a shaped cover.
- Dimension wall sections, bosses, openings and mating faces. Identify holes and contact areas requiring machining after casting.
- State quantities per design, the required finish and the critical features to inspect. Provide section views where recess depth or internal shape affects assembly.
OEM/ODM enquiries can include PDF/CAD drawings and IGES/STEP geometry. Agree the material, tooling and finishing requirements for the individual component. No environmental rating, operating load or universal suitability for automotive or medical equipment is implied.
