Specify the elongated panel around its two large circular openings and raised long-edge flanges. The yellow-green example also shows smaller fixing holes along the formed regions. Its color does not establish zinc chemistry, actual alloy, coating performance or an airflow function for the intended installation.
Reference the circular openings to the flanges
Provide flat and formed drawings with actual mating geometry. Locate opening centers, small holes and edge contacts from installation datums, defining required clearances around the circles. Identify any inserts, fasteners or adjoining panels separately and state which pieces are included in the delivered component scope.
Select the material and compatible surface treatment
Steel and aluminum require separate grade, condition and thickness choices. Zinc finishing is a title direction; powder coating and color choices also appear in the parameters. Specify the actual system appropriate to the selected substrate, including chemistry, masking and appearance requirements rather than assuming a combined finish or verified passivation.
- Identify the dual-opening panel and drawing revision.
- Choose actual alloy, condition and sheet thickness.
- Dimension circular openings, fixing holes and flanges.
- Define cutting, forming and the selected surface system.
- Agree final interface and environmental acceptance.
Accept fabrication against the actual design
Define laser cutting, stamping, bending and any edge work where required, with tolerances expressed in units and final measurement conditions. Any airflow, load, corrosion, electrical or environmental requirement needs operating conditions and applicable evidence; open circles alone establish no functional rating.
Provide STEP, STP or PDF geometry, quantities and material or inspection records. Use the controlled design to define the component, keeping any completed equipment and separately requested performance tests outside the panel-only scope.
