Laser cutting and bending need to be planned around the finished aluminum part, including its coated appearance. This Dmetal sheet metal fabrication enquiry accepts STEP, STP and PDF drawings. Powder coating is identified with black, white and customized color options, allowing the drawing and appearance requirements to be discussed as one manufacturing package.
Show how the aluminum part locates
For a laser-cut and bent part, identify the mounting holes, reference edges and bend locations that determine its position in the assembly. Include the required aluminum grade and sheet thickness with the drawing. Those details are needed to assess the actual geometry; the general sheet metal service name does not define a standard section or a fixed tolerance.
Coordinate bends with the powder coated finish
Choose the black, white or custom color for the aluminum component and provide an appearance reference when necessary. Mark surfaces where the finished size or contact condition matters. Discuss the sequence of forming and coating for the ordered part, including any areas whose dimensions must be agreed in the finished condition rather than on the uncoated blank.
Prepare the files for a focused quotation
A useful Dmetal enquiry combines the current STEP, STP or PDF revision, quantity, inspection dimensions and finishing requirements. The order information specifies 100 pieces and individual packing; confirm the applicable quantity and protection arrangement for the quotation. If the electronics assembly imposes additional requirements, identify those in the drawing package instead of assuming electrical protection or enclosure performance from the aluminum material alone.
