Define the hole layout from the required assembly
The retained sample has five peripheral countersunk fixing holes and a small central opening. Its photograph does not specify a three-hole layout. If the project requires a 4-inch plate or three mounting holes, provide that required layout on the drawing.
Specify the aluminum or stainless steel grade, plate thickness and mating-fastener dimensions. Identify countersink geometry, edge conditions and the finish required for the selected material.
Finished-plate inspection
Include quantities and the drawing revision. Mark the diameter, hole positions and contact-face requirements for inspection, with any service or documentation requirements for the marine assembly.
