Specify the opening and surrounding panel
This example has a broad rectangular face, a raised border and a large offset circular opening. Dimension the opening from the panel edges and describe the border profile, corner shape and mounting overlap needed in the assembly.
Steel and stainless steel are the listed material options. State the selected grade and sheet thickness together with the cutting and forming requirements. Define the required finish on the drawing; the bronze-colored appearance alone does not establish a coating or an anodizing process.
Details for a fabrication enquiry
Include the panel outline, opening diameter, location tolerances and cosmetic-face requirements. Identify any edges that contact adjacent components and specify how the panel will be attached. Provide quantities and a drawing revision so the requested geometry and finish can be evaluated together.
