The retained examples include finned bodies, hollow housings, flanges and shaped mounting forms. Select the required component on a drawing and define the interfaces that connect it to the assembly.
Alloy and process requirements
For aluminum casting, specify the alloy and whether die, sand or investment casting is required for review. Identify wall sections and surfaces needing machining or deburring after casting.
Include the finish, quantities and drawing revision. Mark critical bores, mounting faces and fixing dimensions, with inspection and material records required for the actual part.
