Define the flashlight housing component separately from the complete light assembly. The examples are elongated cylindrical housing-like parts with recessed or open ends, small side openings and grip-like surface patterns. Silver and gold appearance helps identify the examples, but does not establish their actual alloy, coating or internal fit.
Describe the tube and mating ends
Provide the outside contour, internal space and the length of each required component. Dimension end openings, shoulders and any threads from the drawing references. Include the mating cap, insert or other part where it determines clearance, engagement or the finished assembly.
Identify side holes and surface patterns that belong to the actual design. Their appearance does not define a particular switch arrangement or electrical function. State which features require turning, milling, drilling or another agreed secondary operation instead of applying every listed service to the part.
Choose the actual metal and finished condition
- Specify the aluminum grade and temper for the order.
- Provide the housing, internal clearance and end-interface drawing.
- Define thread details, openings and the required grip pattern.
- Select finish color and mask fit-sensitive surfaces.
- State final-condition inspection and included assembly parts.
The ±0.05 reference needs affected dimensions, units and measurement conditions before it can govern acceptance. It is not one universal tolerance for the whole housing. Select anodizing, coating or another finish for the actual material, identifying how treatment affects threads and mating faces.
Agree the supplied component and application requirements
State whether the request covers the bare body, finished housing parts or additional caps and inserts. Power-supply wording does not establish electrical approval or compatibility with a particular internal assembly. Likewise, a tube and threaded end do not prove waterproofing or an enclosure rating. Confirm quantities and any project-specific evidence required for the intended assembly. A useful enquiry links one housing drawing to a clear material, machining, finish and inspection scope, without assuming a complete working flashlight from the illustrated components.
