Define the mounting plate through its stepped outline, folded edges and slotted ears. The light example has round openings and several raised threaded-looking fixing details across its face. These features do not independently establish galvanizing, actual alloy, a thread specification or the construction of the raised contacts.
Locate fixing details from the stepped outline
Provide flat and formed drawings with sections through each raised or inserted feature. Reference slots, round openings and contact faces to assembly datums, showing actual mating hardware. Specify thread size, fit and connection requirements where applicable, and identify which inserts or fasteners form part of the delivery.
Select the sheet and coating condition
Galvanized sheet is a named service direction; stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum are separate material options. State actual grade, thickness and supplied condition, including any existing coating. Define laser cutting, punching, stamping and bending for the controlled geometry rather than deriving a manufacturing sequence from the photograph.
Inspect mounting contacts in the finished condition
Choose compatible paint, powder coating, plating or polishing where required, with masking and appearance criteria at fixing interfaces. Mark tolerance units and final measurement conditions. Load, corrosion, electrical or environmental requirements need actual service conditions and applicable tests for the plate and its intended assembly.
- Reference the stepped plate and mating drawings.
- Specify actual sheet and existing coating condition.
- Dimension slots, folds and raised fixing details.
- Define threads, fabrication and compatible treatment.
- Agree final fit and required inspection records.
Include PDF/CAD or IGES/STEP geometry, quantities and material documentation. Separate plate-only supply from installed hardware, assembled equipment and any independently specified application qualification.
