Custom aluminum extrusion profiles are defined by their cross-section and the machining needed after the profile is formed. Model 1024 covers 6000 Series alloy enquiries, including 6063 and 6061, with a customized Dimensions option. Angle shape and heat sink application are identified, and surface treatment choices include anodized, oxide and powder coated finishes.

Begin with the complete profile section

For a 1024 aluminum profile, provide the cross-section drawing and requested cut length. Mark wall sections, openings and any areas that meet neighboring components. The profile geometry should be considered together with the selected alloy, rather than assuming that a 6061 section and a 6063 section have identical order requirements.

Distinguish extrusion from later machining

Machining is available for the custom profile, with cutting, punching, bending, welding and decoiling among the stated processing services. Identify the holes, end faces and local details that need separate processing after the section is produced. Where a tight tolerance matters, mark the affected feature and measurement basis so feasibility can be confirmed for that specific geometry.

Specify the finish and intended thermal use

Choose the required surface treatment and color reference for the finished 1024 part. For a heat sink application, include the installation envelope and thermal requirements with the profile drawing. No heat dissipation rating follows from the alloy name alone; confirm temper, dimensional acceptance and the final profile configuration before treating the aluminum section as a fit for the assembly.

Please include the drawing revision, material specification, quantity, critical dimensions, finish and inspection documents needed for your part. Tooling, samples, delivery and any return or remedy arrangements are subject to the agreed order terms.
