The round pin-fin examples show dark circular bases carrying arrays of long cylindrical pins. Use this form to define a custom aluminum heat-sink enquiry, including the requested cold-forging direction and black anodized finish. The actual drawing, manufacturing route and order quantity must be agreed for the component being supplied.
Choose the round pin-array configuration
Provide the base diameter, thickness and finished contact-face requirements. Define pin height, spacing and the overall installation envelope, with mounting details for the assembly. Identify the face that receives heat and the way the base is secured. The two pictured orientations help show the form but do not establish exact dimensions or a fixed pin count.
The generic parameter table includes a T-profile reference. It should not replace the actual round pin-array drawing for this enquiry. Specify the selected geometry directly and include any openings, machined faces or additional parts required for the finished installation.
- Select the actual aluminum grade and temper.
- Provide the base and pin-field drawing with its revision.
- Identify the cold-forging requirement and the process proposal to assess.
- Identify machining, black anodizing and any masking requirements.
- Define inspection criteria and the requested supply quantity.
Agree the material, route and supplied finish
Obtain a process proposal suitable for the selected metal and shape. General sand-casting and CNC references do not establish a compulsory route for every pin-fin design. Apply any tolerance reference to identified features with agreed units, measurement criteria and the final supplied condition rather than treating it as a universal requirement.
Prepare a comparable thermal and quantity enquiry
State heat load, ambient conditions, airflow and the contact arrangement for assessment of the installed design. A pin array is not a tested cooling rating. Where a wholesale quotation is requested, give the actual quantity and delivery requirements so that proposals can be compared on the same scope. Historical sales wording is not a current supply commitment. The enquiry should connect one defined component and finish to the inspection records and thermal acceptance relevant to its intended use.
