Fins and side-channel interfaces
This example combines a finned center section with additional channels and steps along both sides. Define the full cross-section, including the side features that engage mounting hardware or adjacent components.
- Profile specification
- State the required 6000-series alloy and temper, overall width, base thickness, fin dimensions and cut length.
- Installation details
- Show the mating hardware and the surfaces used for mounting or thermal contact. Identify any drilling, cutting or machining after the profile is produced.
Include the thermal design requirement, airflow conditions and available space, together with quantities and the required surface treatment. Dimension the side channels from the same references as the base so their fit can be reviewed with the assembly.
