Outer fins around a hollow profile
The dark example has long external fins, a circular opening through its length and flat mounting regions. Define the cross-section and cut length, including the bore and the surfaces that connect the profile to adjacent components.
Specify the alloy and manufacturing route together
For a 6061 or 6063 aluminum extrusion project, specify the selected alloy, temper and cross-section. Identify any bore or mounting surfaces that require CNC finishing after the profile is formed. Select the alloy for the individual order rather than treating the two grades as interchangeable.
Provide mounting-hole and machining requirements, quantities and the black-anodizing specification. State the thermal operating conditions and any verification required for the LED application. The fin geometry alone does not establish heat dissipation, lamp compatibility or a measured thermal rating.
