Specify the materials and construction of a stacked or bonded-fin heat sink before selecting it for an assembly. The example is a copper-colored rectangular finned block on a projecting base. Its color identifies an appearance; it does not establish whether the actual component is copper, aluminum or a mixed-material design.

Define the base and fin materials separately

State the material required for the base and for the fin field, including the grade and condition where relevant. If the design combines aluminum and copper, provide the intended arrangement and the acceptance requirements for the interfaces. The title names both metals while the general parameters reference 6063 aluminum, so the order needs an explicit material specification.

Identify whether stacked plates, bonded fins or another construction is required. Show the fin arrangement and any joint details that affect selection. A dense plate-like appearance alone does not prove the actual construction method or the quality of a bonded interface.

Dimension the mounting and thermal contact areas

Locate fixing features and any clearance around the projecting base. State the dimensions and weight required for the actual part separately; an option label does not replace a component drawing or establish an independently verified delivered weight. Agree the manufacturing route and any machining for the selected design instead of automatically inheriting a historical casting sequence.

Set the thermal and finished acceptance conditions

  • Provide the base footprint and finished contact-face requirements.
  • Dimension the fin field, height, spacing and assembly envelope.
  • Specify base and fin materials on the controlled drawing.
  • Identify the required construction and secondary operations.
  • Define inspection and evidence for the supplied component.

Provide the heat load, ambient environment, airflow and contact arrangement needed to assess the proposed heat sink. Neither high-density wording nor a copper-colored finish is a measured thermal result. Select treatment and finish for the actual metals, including any fit or contact requirements. Identify feature-specific tolerances and inspection records rather than applying a broad catalogue value to every surface. Confirm quantities and the complete supplied scope for the order so that the proposal and acceptance plan describe the same component.

Please include the drawing revision, material specification, quantity, critical dimensions, finish and inspection documents needed for your part. Tooling, samples, delivery and any return or remedy arrangements are subject to the agreed order terms.
