A broad plate over a downward fin field
The example shows a flat upper plate with corner fixing holes and fins below it. Define the heat-source contact region and plate thickness before locating the holes and specifying the fin envelope beneath the assembly.
Alloy and finished interfaces
For a 6061 or 6063 aluminum heat sink enquiry, state the selected alloy and temper on the drawing. Include section length and any machining required to control the contact face or fixing holes, with the surface-treatment requirement.
Provide the mounting arrangement, available clearance and airflow. Add thermal requirements and quantities, identifying the dimensional and surface criteria to inspect for the actual installation.
