This aluminum machining example has a tapered outline, an oblong opening, a smaller round hole and a threaded feature on its sloping edge. Define these features from the mounting surfaces so the finished component can be inspected against its assembly references.
For hard anodizing, specify the coating requirement and identify fitted openings or threads requiring masking. Include the finished dimensions and surface acceptance requirements on the drawing.
