Locate the fins from the mounting-base references
The example has a field of upright fins on a broad base with drilled features along the exposed mounting areas. Define the base outline and hole pattern relative to the heat-source location, then dimension the fin height and spacing.
For a custom aluminum extrusion enquiry, specify the required 6061 or 6063 alloy and temper. Show the cut length and all CNC-machined holes or contact faces on the finished-part drawing.
Finish and installation review
Identify anodizing requirements and the surface condition needed at the thermal interface. Include mounting hardware, available airflow, thermal design requirements and quantities, with inspection criteria for the base and hole positions.
