Define the hollow section from the inside out
The illustrated profile has a rounded square outer shape, a hollow center and smaller internal locating features. Specify the usable internal opening and the outer dimensions together, including wall sections and corner radii.
- Material and section
- State the aluminum alloy and temper required for the custom profile. Include the drawing of the complete cross-section and the cut length.
- Finishing and machining
- For anodizing, define the finish and color. Identify end machining, openings or mounting features needed after the profile is cut.
Large-section enquiries should include actual dimensions and quantities for review. Provide the mating-part details, fit tolerances and any inspection requirements that govern the internal features.
