Perforated sides around an open channel
The current example has folded side walls, rows of holes, projecting mounting tabs and a shaped opening in one face. Define the internal space, panel thickness and fixing pattern on the housing drawing.
Specify the fabricated component
Select aluminum, steel or stainless steel with the actual grade. Identify cutting, stamping and bending requirements, rather than treating a general equipment list as a finished-part specification.
Include quantities, finish and any mating cover or panel. Mark inspection dimensions at the tabs, holes and cut-out. This formed housing does not establish the supply or electrical ratings of a complete device.
