Define the end features from the finned section
The dark-finished example has parallel fins along an elongated base and small features in an end face. Dimension the section and cut length together, then locate any end holes from clearly identified reference faces.
Material and finishing requirements
6061 and 6063 are listed alloy options for custom enquiries. State the required alloy and temper for the selected design, the anodizing specification and the areas that need machining before or after finishing.
Describe the mounting arrangement and heat-source contact surface. Add airflow conditions, thermal requirements and quantities, including the dimensions to inspect on the end face and the finished base.
