A circular bore within a housing face
The example has a large central opening, concentric recessed areas, peripheral mounting lugs and an extended mounting region. Define the bore axis and main reference face before locating the holes and surrounding features.
For custom aluminum machining, specify the alloy and required condition. Identify turned circular areas, milled faces and drilled holes, with surface-treatment requirements for cosmetic and contact surfaces.
Interface inspection
Provide the mating assembly geometry, quantities and drawing revision. Mark bore fit, face relationships and hole locations for inspection, including any finishing allowances at the locating surfaces.
