Separate drawings for the mounting components
The examples include a tubular mounting form, drilled plates, a round spacer and small shaped pieces. Identify the required component and define its bore, holes and mating faces rather than treating the assortment as one part specification.
State the aluminum alloy, material condition and required turning, milling or drilling for each item. Specify anodizing with the cosmetic and assembly-contact areas marked.
Control fit between the parts
Include the assembly layout, quantities and drawing revision. Mark the dimensions relating the hole pattern, bore and locating faces, with inspection requirements for the finished components.
