Enclosure space inside a finned profile
The dark example has a hollow interior, external fins and locating details around the opening. Define the usable space and the mating interfaces for end closures before dimensioning the outside of the profile.
Specify the finished section
For a 6063 aluminum extrusion enquiry, provide the required temper, cross-section and cut length. Identify holes or end features requiring machining and state the anodizing specification, including contact areas needing separate surface control.
List any closure parts required in addition to the profile. Include the mounting arrangement, thermal conditions, quantities and inspection criteria for the actual enclosure design.
