Define the panel from its two horizontal slots and stepped perimeter regions. The green example provides a form reference, but not actual dimensions or a numerical definition of a large molded part. State the required component size and drawing revision before evaluating the molding scope.
Dimension the slots and perimeter contacts
Provide sections showing the panel thickness, opening geometry and raised or stepped regions. Locate fixing or retention details from assembly datums where applicable. Identify adjoining components and required clearances so the slots are defined by the intended installation rather than scaled from the photograph.
Select polymer and surface requirements
PA66, PP, ABS and PC are separate material options. Specify the actual grade, required condition and material documentation for the chosen panel. Define color reference and any polished, textured, painted or other compatible surface treatment individually; green appearance alone cannot establish resin or finishing chemistry.
Separate finished-part supply from any mold request
If tooling is required, specify deliverables, ownership and acceptance independently from the molded panel. Define tolerance units and final measurement conditions for both slots and stepped contact regions. Mechanical, environmental or compliance requirements need actual operating conditions and applicable evidence for the design and selected material.
- Reference the slotted panel and actual size.
- Dimension both openings and stepped perimeter.
- Select exact resin grade and supplied condition.
- Define finish and any separate tooling deliverables.
- Agree fit inspection and application evidence.
Include PDF/CAD or IGES/STEP geometry, quantities and requested records. Keep the part and any mold schedule explicit so a quotation for panel production is comparable with the intended delivery.
