Use the drilled ledge to define the mounting position
The example has a flat drilled ledge beside an upper fin field and further fins underneath the base. Dimension the ledge, hole pattern and contact surface together so the machining references correspond to the assembly position.
Extrusion and CNC machining scope
Specify the selected aluminum alloy and temper, section drawing and cut length. Mark the holes and other areas requiring CNC machining, with required surface treatment and any faces needing controlled contact finish.
Include quantities, airflow conditions and the thermal design requirement. State the inspection dimensions for the machined interfaces and provide the current drawing revision.
