Identify the required frame or strip before defining the plastic molding request. The green examples include rectangular frames with long slots and separate curved strips, with ribs visible on some surfaces. Their grouping and color do not establish a supplied set, an exact color reference or a common resin grade.
Define the slots and adjoining interfaces
Provide a drawing for each component, including its perimeter, section, openings and contact surfaces. Locate any ribs or fixing features from assembly datums. Identify the adjoining parts and required clearances so the long slot and curved regions can be evaluated in their intended installation.
- Identify each frame or curved strip separately.
- Select the actual resin grade and condition.
- Dimension slots, sections and mating interfaces.
- Specify color reference and required matt appearance.
- Agree dimensional checks and material documentation.
Select resin and the molded appearance
PA66, PP, ABS and PC are material options for discussion rather than interchangeable specifications. State the chosen grade, formulation requirements and required color reference. Define the matt surface with an agreed sample or appearance criteria where needed; the photograph does not establish texture or color accuracy.
Accept the individual molded component
Mark drawing tolerances on the dimensions that control fit, including final measurement conditions. Any environmental, mechanical or regulatory requirement needs applicable evidence for the actual material and component. Green appearance alone does not establish compliance or performance.
Include quantities, geometry files and the required records with the enquiry. Keep separate item references for the frames and strips so the proposed molding scope matches the intended component schedule.
