Define the open end and grooved section
This example has a curved open profile with flared edges and a shaped slot at the open end. A sectioned drawing should define the groove depth, edge thickness, central opening and the surfaces that locate it against the mating component.
For prototype review, specify the selected PP, PA66 nylon or ABS grade and the quantity needed before production tooling is agreed. Injection molding, cutting and painting are listed processes, with customer-defined size, shape and color and a matte finish. State the fit and inspection requirements for the actual design; the photograph supplies no load or wear-life rating.
