Identify whether the enquiry is for individual aluminum profiles, finished members or a complete frame assembly. The example is a dark ladder-like structure with two long side members, broad cross-members and visible fixings at the joints. Its actual dimensions, material condition and supplied scope should be defined by the project drawing.
Give the members and joints a common reference
Provide an assembly drawing with the overall footprint and the locations of the cross-members. Supply the section and cut length for each member, identifying which pieces require holes, machining or other secondary work. Locate fixing features from the references that control the assembled geometry.
If only loose members are required, identify them in the component schedule. If an assembled frame is requested, state which fixings and assembly operations are included. The photograph does not establish the allowable load, a standard frame size or the specification of every member.
Specify material and finished interfaces
- Select the actual alloy condition, including 6063 if required.
- Provide member sections, lengths and the assembly revision.
- Locate cross-member joints and fixing-hole relationships.
- Define secondary machining, finish and supplied condition.
- State component and assembly inspection requirements.
Agree the extrusion and secondary-work route for the selected design. Historical square-shape, natural-color and sand-casting references are not a complete process plan for every illustrated assembly. The ±1% field likewise needs to be replaced by limits for the particular features that control the order's acceptance, with units and measurement criteria.
Define the actual installation and acceptance
Provide the installation arrangement and any application-specific loading or alignment requirements that affect selection. A visible bolted joint is not a tested frame rating. Select finish and masking for the actual material and mating interfaces, and state the condition in which parts or the assembly will be inspected. Confirm quantities and the included supply scope. A useful enquiry links one member schedule and joint layout to clear records for accepting the delivered profiles or finished frame.
