The illustrated base carries groups of closely spaced parallel fins with different visible heights and a stepped layout. Specify the required arrangement in section and plan views, including gaps between fin groups and the component contact face.
Define the section for your cooling assembly
Choose 6063 or 6061 aluminum and state the temper, cut length and finish. Model S 2301 lists machining, anodized or oxide treatments, powder coating and customized colors. Provide quantities and the dimensions that govern assembly fit. Thermal requirements should include heat input, airflow and allowable temperatures so the proposed geometry can be reviewed. Fin appearance alone does not establish a numerical cooling capacity.
