Raised fixing flanges frame the finned region
The dark example has parallel fins between two raised flat mounting areas with holes. Define the height of those mounting areas relative to the base contact face, with the hole pattern and full fin envelope.
For a custom aluminum extrusion heat sink, state the selected alloy and temper and the required section length. Identify any secondary machining, anodizing requirements and contact surfaces requiring controlled finish.
Installation and inspection details
Provide the heat-source footprint, mating fasteners and available airflow. Include the thermal design requirement and quantities, with inspection criteria for the flange height, hole locations and contact-face geometry.
