Specify the finned housing section and the parts included in the delivered assembly. The example is a blue enclosure-like profile with an open rectangular end, fins along the upper face and horizontal side ribs or fins. Its color is an appearance reference, not independent proof of anodizing or a fixed coating specification.
Define the opening, walls and fin envelope
Provide the cross-section, cut length and the dimensions that control the fit of adjoining components. Locate mounting features, contact faces and any CNC-finished openings from the assembly datums. Include section views where they clarify internal clearance or the engagement of covers and end parts.
- Identify the actual profile and controlled assembly revision.
- Choose the housing alloy condition for the assembly drawing.
- Locate the opening, fins and finished mating interfaces.
- State which closures, covers or fasteners are included.
- Define finish, masking and final inspection requirements.
Agree the supplied material and finished state
Choose the actual 6061 or 6063 condition and the anodized finish required by the design. Mark surfaces where finishing affects assembly, contact or dimensional acceptance. A broad color or temper reference does not replace the specification for the actual order.
The historical T-profile and sand-casting fields are general data, not a compulsory manufacturing sequence for every finned housing. Agree the profile and secondary-work scope and assign feature-specific limits rather than using ±1% for all dimensions. Specify any required weight separately; an option label does not establish the delivered component's mass or dimensions.
Set the actual installation acceptance
State the operating environment and the thermal contact arrangement relevant to the assembly. If cooling performance is required, supply heat load, ambient and airflow conditions for assessment. The open-ended image does not establish a complete environmental protection rating or a measured thermal result. Confirm current quantities, documentation and the complete supplied scope. A clear enquiry connects one section and closure arrangement to the material, machining and finish records needed to accept the delivered component.
