Finned sections with drilled mounting flanges
These aluminum heat sink examples combine straight longitudinal fins with extended base areas and mounting holes. The flange width and hole arrangement form part of the finished component specification, alongside the finned section and cut length.
Send a cross-section and finished drawing showing the base thickness, fin height and spacing, contact face and required fixing points. Include the adjoining assembly where it determines flange clearance or access to the fasteners.
Extrusion, cutting and CNC work
The specified material and temper options are 6063-T5 and 6061-T6. Extrusion, precision cutting, drilling and CNC fabrication are listed processes; identify the combination required for the ordered part and mark the dimensions to inspect.
Black anodizing can be included in the finish specification, with oxide finishing and powder coating also available for review. Define the color reference and masking at contact faces or holes. Supply quantities, drawing revision, thermal duty and installation constraints for a quotation covering the finished heat sink.
