Define the curved profile section and the interfaces it must meet in the actual installation. The example has a rounded outer wall, internal rectangular cavities or channels and open longitudinal edge details. These features provide useful drawing references without establishing a fixed angle shape or a particular functional assembly.
Describe the outer contour and internal spaces
Provide the cross-section, cut length and the geometry of the internal cavities. Locate the engaging edges and any contact or mounting features from the assembly datums. Include adjoining parts where they determine clearance or the way the profile is secured.
- Supply the controlled curved-section drawing.
- Specify the actual aluminum grade and temper.
- Locate the curved wall, cavity openings and engaging edges.
- Mark the CNC features and finished dimensional limits.
- Define finish, masking and inspection requirements.
Separate the profile from secondary machining
Identify which holes, ends or contact surfaces need machining after profile manufacture. A catalogue list of cutting, bending, welding or machining services does not define the complete operation plan for every component. Agree the actual route and supplied condition for the selected section.
Select the 6061 or 6063 condition required by the drawing. The 0.02mm and unitless ±0.02 references need affected dimensions, units and measurement criteria before they can determine acceptance. Mark interfaces that must be checked after finishing, including any surfaces requiring fit protection or masking.
State the installation and order scope
If the profile is intended for a thermal application, provide the contact arrangement, heat load and environmental conditions required for assessment. The curved form alone does not establish a cooling rating or a complete housing function. Confirm quantities, current delivery requirements and the documentation expected for the actual component. A usable enquiry links one curved section and machining scope to clear material, finish and dimensional acceptance rather than treating a generic angle field as the final design.
