The example has a finned region on a rectangular base plate, an exposed mounting strip and holes in the base and edge. Define the component contact area and fixing pattern, including the clearance between the fins and the surrounding enclosure.
Thermoelectric cooler or LED project review
Provide the heat load, target temperatures, airflow and installation orientation before selecting the section. Model S 2301 lists 6063 and 6061 aluminum, machining and anodized, oxide or powder-coated finishes. Specify the alloy, temper, dimensions and quantities for your application. The pictured plate is a thermal component example; a complete enclosure, LED assembly or thermoelectric system requires a separately defined supply scope.
