A high-density aluminum heat-sink profile should be defined by its actual fin arrangement and installation requirements. The example has numerous closely spaced parallel fins on a rectangular base with projecting fixing areas. Use these features to identify the enquiry, while the drawing establishes the dimensions and the selected material condition.
Describe the fin field and fixing footprint
Provide the base dimensions, fin thickness, spacing and height, with the cut length and overall envelope. Locate fixing holes from the assembly references and show the contact surface through which heat enters the part. The phrase high density does not by itself specify a fin count, spacing or measured performance.
Include neighbouring components where they constrain access to the fixing areas or clearance around the fins. Identify any relieved regions, holes or finished faces required by the actual drawing rather than assuming that every example has the same configuration. State which supplied features require machining after the profile is made.
- Select the actual aluminum alloy and condition.
- Provide the controlled base and fin-field drawing.
- Locate fixing features and the thermal contact face.
- Define anodizing, masking and fit-sensitive surfaces.
- State feature-specific inspection and finished acceptance.
Choose the material, finish and dimensional limits
A general 6063 reference and broad temper range are not a complete order specification. Assign limits to the dimensions that control assembly, with units and measurement criteria. Agree the profile and secondary-work route instead of treating a historical sand-casting field as compulsory. Surface appearance alone does not establish a particular coating specification.
Make LED thermal requirements assessable
Supply heat load, ambient conditions, airflow and the contact arrangement for project-specific review. Closely spaced fins are a geometry description, not a tested cooling rating. Identify any required evidence under the actual installation conditions and agree the supplied state in which it will be assessed. Confirm the requested quantity and complete component scope. The enquiry should connect one fin design and mounting footprint to clear material, finish, inspection and thermal acceptance requirements rather than relying on a high-density label.
