Define the housing through its raised circular neck and perimeter fixing bosses. The dark irregular example also has a small metal-colored detail near one end. These features identify the visible component, but do not establish fluid service, a pressure rating, resin grade or an insert specification.
Locate the neck relative to the mounting perimeter
Provide sections through the neck, main body and fixing regions. Identify the actual connection and mating components, including any thread, contact face or clearance that controls installation. Define inserts or hardware separately, with their materials and inclusion in the delivery stated on the component schedule.
- Reference the necked housing and mating drawings.
- Dimension the neck, perimeter and fixing bosses.
- Select actual nylon or ABS grade and condition.
- Specify insert details and required molded appearance.
- Agree final dimensional and functional acceptance.
Choose the actual polymer and manufacturing scope
Nylon and ABS are separate formulations, with other listed polymers selected individually where requested. State material requirements and supporting records for the order. Define molding and any secondary cutting or painting separately; a dark surface or metal-colored detail does not prove construction or grade.
Express precision at the working interfaces
Mark tolerances with units, datums and final measurement conditions. Any sealing, pressure, electrical or environmental requirement needs actual operating conditions and applicable test evidence. The component shape does not independently demonstrate those performance characteristics.
Include quantities, individual drawing revisions, controlled geometry and requested inspection documentation. Distinguish a housing-only request from an assembly including closures, seals or other separately identified components.
