A profile defined by its full cross-section
The illustrated section combines hollow rectangular areas, open channels and narrow locating ledges. A complete cross-section drawing should define each opening, wall and ledge, with clear references for the features that mate with adjacent parts.
For an OEM or ODM aluminum extrusion enquiry, specify the alloy and temper, cut length and required finish. Identify any machining after cutting, including holes, pockets or end details, and distinguish those features from the continuous section geometry.
Information for fit review
Provide mating-part drawings, clearance requirements and the dimensions to inspect. State quantities and any requirements for exposed edges or cosmetic faces. Include the drawing revision for both the profile section and subsequent machining so the required supply condition is clear.
