Custom injection-moulded components should be defined by the part you need to assemble. The examples include a rectangular frame, a toothed wheel, long channel-shaped pieces and narrow plates with locating details, representing different component enquiries rather than one assumed supplied kit.
Injection-moulded components from your part drawing
Select the frame, channel, wheel or mounting piece required and provide its current drawing. Dimension the mounting points, openings and interfaces with neighbouring parts so the actual component can be assessed. A wheel-like example does not establish a standard tooth system or a particular mechanism without the mating design.
Choose the resin for each component
PA66, PP, ABS, PC and glass-fibre options need a selected grade and any reinforcement requirement for the ordered part. Define colour, visible surfaces and the operating environment alongside the plastic geometry. Several parts in a photograph need not use the same resin, and sample colour is not evidence of a material grade or compliance approval.
- Identify the particular plastic frame, channel, wheel or mounting component required.
- Provide PDF, STP or STEP drawings with the critical mating dimensions.
- Select a resin grade and reinforcement requirement for each moulded part.
- Define the colour and finish for the visible component surfaces.
- State quantities per plastic component rather than assuming a pictured set.
- Clarify the mould, tooling and finished-part scope for the enquiry.
Coordinate tooling and finished-part acceptance
Include the required quantities and the dimensions that determine whether each injection-moulded component fits its assembly. Agree whether the project involves a new tool, an existing mould or parts only, and identify the evidence needed for finished-part acceptance. Confirm the current order requirements for that design rather than relying on a general historical quantity reference.
A component-by-component drawing and resin schedule gives this PA nylon or ABS injection-parts enquiry a clear basis for defining tooling and supplied-part scope.
